About Me

Welcome — my name is Kate!

I am based in Vancouver, Canada where I was born and raised. My journey with fitness started in childhood, growing up playing several sports and competing in soccer at a high-level until I was nineteen. When I decided to stop playing competitively, I quickly began to feel lost without the structure and routine that came with being active. It was during this time that I realized just how much being active throughout my life had positively impacted my mental health. This is how I became introduced to, and subsequently fell in love with, strength training.

The desire to feel motivated and work toward a goal encouraged me to start going to the gym to learn how to train on my own. I felt nervous at first, having no idea what exercises to do (let alone how to do them), but I was determined to keep showing up. Fast forward just one year, strength training had completely transformed how I viewed fitness and myself. I had found a new passion and it became my outlet for both physical and mental well-being.

I have been strength training consistently for six years now, but I think it is important to note that my progress and journey has not been linear. My goals have changed, my training styles have changed, and quite frankly as a woman, I’ve changed. That said, the one thing that has remained constant is the connection between fitness and mental health - and the profound impact it has had on my life.

I have struggled with Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD) and Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) from a very young age. My experience with these disorders is what has pushed me to look inward and discover tools to help manage these aspects of me — fitness being one of the most effective and important tools I have come across. It has allowed me to rebuild confidence, manage my mental health, and learn to connect with my body and mind — which is exactly what I want to help other women do.

My mission is to empower other women to feel strong and confident in their own skin, especially in a world that often fuels comparison and self-doubt. I want to help women focus on well-being first, encouraging women to embrace how fitness makes them feel. My goal is to inspire others to embrace movement as a form of self-care and a path toward greater mental and physical balance.
